How Does It Effect You?

CBD oil is a natural oil that is extracted from the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant. There are a few different ways to extract cannabinoids. The oldest technique is by using alcohol, then to the newer methods - CO2, and decarboxylation. However, alcohol extraction is a bit of older technology and not used much anymore.

CO2 and Decarbolation are the prime methods found in the oils we carry as they are deemed to be much healthier than the alcohol method. Element Earth only carries brands that use the latter two of the three most common methods. It is important to know what extraction process your CBD has gone through as it affects the quality of CBD oil and gelcaps.

Receptors

Full-spectrum CBD oils are the most common form of cannabis use for medical purposes. By definition, full-spectrum CBD is derived from hemp plants and include hundreds of cannabinoids that together work in unison to create the entourage effect. Full Spectrum includes cannabinoids such as CBD, CBDA, THC, CBG, and many more, providing the healthy "entourage effect".  Full Spectrum is considered the oil that contains THC, but at extremely low levels, so low it is nearly impossible to feel directly or fail drug tests. But it something of importance to some, as there are very few amounts of people that might adversely react to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

CBD experts and advocates say that full-spectrum can create a powerful CBD formula's that work individually to treat various medical issues. Those elements include healing properties like protein, fiber, fatty acids, and rich essential vitamins.

Full-spectrum CBD oil is widely credited with helping treat serious medical conditions like anxiety, depression, muscle pain, migraines, and other adverse medical conditions.

full spectrum break downAs shown above, are the major cannabinoids gotten from the whole plant, each one helps the other out for maximum health benefits.

Isolate CBD products are just as the name suggests, of all the cannabinoids, terpenes, protein, fiber, fatty acids, and rich essential vitamins are extracted as well, leaving just one cannabinoid, and that is the cannabidiol (CBD). While CBD by itself has its benefits, and in our opinion is better than nothing, it's basically a full-spectrum oil minus everything but CBD.

Athletes use isolates, for the adversion of THC, but as technology moves forward, and labs are able to be much more on point, we see the use of isolates on a downward trend for good reason. Though isolate still plays its key role in our endocannabinoid system (ECS), and is more on the less expensive side of oil, it is still widely used in topical applications and other similar applicatory products. As of writing this, MedTerra CBD is widely known for their superb isolate quality, but have just recently jumped on the Broad Spectrum bandwagon.

Broad Spectrum CBD products are created by taking Full Spectrum CBD and further extracting the THC cannabinoid making it "THC Free". Broad Spectrum CBD is contains all the cannibinoids and terpenes you would find in Full Spectrum products. Broad Spectrum contains an array of naturally occuring cannibinoids, terpenes, flavanoids vitamins, minterals and plant proteins of the original hemp source.

Some would argue Broad Spectrum is the most popular of all three; no THC but still all the goodies a Full Spectrum full plant product has to offer. We cannot deny this either, as this type of CBD oils seems to be picked the most of all three types of CBD. The "entourage effect" which multiplies the potential health benefits, takes place, the nutrients and all the natural compounds found in Full Spectrum are still there, with the exception of THC.

Broad Spectrum layoutWith the THC and THCA removed, this will still be almost, dare we say, just as effective as Full Spectrum, depending on how its made of course.

Full Spectrum or Broad Spectrum CBD is the oil or product of choice if one is looking to take the most advantage of the Entourage Effect. Essentially it is a synergy of how cannabinoids interact with eachother and in turn, effect our CB1 and C2 receptors. Depicted below are the layouts, if you will, of our natural endocannibinoil system. Take a look at this chart for a much better understanding of the layout.

CB1 and CB2 receptors

Simple answer is absolutely not. The federal-level of allowed THC (the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis) is .3% or below, often our product Broad and Full Spectrum fall way below this mark. There is zero intoxication, zero buzz, or high. The only thing you might feel is better, more clarity, higher energy, and an overall sense of wellbeing.

3rd Party Lab Results basically means that it is not the manufacturer who is doing the tests (for good reasons too obviously). These are VERY important and very helpful in making sure the product you buy has been thoroughly inspected and tested for ingredients, harmful chemicals, cannabinoid levels, heavy metals that may have been in the soil while growing the hemp, and much more. If you see a product without a lab report, steer clear of it, that simple. There have been reports of some manufacturers producing products without even having CBD in them!!! Let alone what else may be in there. But as the industry grows this is becoming commonplace to have with your product.

Batch numbers are usually on the bottle and should match up to the lab report. Element Earth has a lab report for EVERY PRODUCT, and we triple check them but thankfully our vendors are reputable and have been around long enough to know 3rd party testing is a must. An added benefit we provide is we double-check anyways, as one may never know. Here is a sample of one:

lab result

Please notice it says page 1 of 4, as these continue on to show even more tests, that is what the educated buyer wants to see and verify, with that being said every single one of our products contains in the listing under the tab Lab Reports a complete PDF file for your viewing.

CBD Tincture FAQs

Why use a Tincture?

Tinctures are beneficial and preferred by many CBD users because of their time and cost-efficiency. These tinctures are infused with highly concentrated CBD extracts, allowing it to provide the benefits of CBD oil, in an easy-to-use delivery method. Many people prefer CBD Oil Drops or Tincture because of the flavors offered and it can be quickly absorbed into the bloodstream when applied under the tongue. Tinctures are also discreet and can be carried easily in a purse or your pocket in order to use it throughout the day. They also allow consumers to be incredibly precise with how much they are taking, giving you more control over your CBD intake and your health.

Full Spectrum CBD tinctures have a trace amount of THC (.3% or less), and Broad Spectrum hemp oil is basically Full Spectrum without the THC, though it still contains all of the cannabinoids and terpenes of whole plant oil. The third is just pure CBD tincture, which is called Isolate CBD, as this oil contains almost 100% of the CBD cannabinoid; and no terpenes or any other cannabinoid, preferred mostly by athletes.

Know your brand and where the oil actually comes from!

Do your homework--and please, check our product line. Our line of  CBD oil is sourced from hemp that is sustainably and responsibly grown, organic, and not genetically modified and is tested on a diverse group of people before we introduce it to the public.

What is CBD Oil?

Before you buy, you should have a general understanding of what it is. CBD, or cannabidiol, is a natural chemical found in agricultural hemp plants. We extract our CBD oil mainly from the leaves and flowers of hemp because this is where the richest most potent cannabinoids grow. Using a clean, eco-friendly, carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction method. we ensure high yields and purity. Once extracted, full-spectrum CBD hemp oil is combined with a "carrier" oil in order to minimize irritation to the skin and digestive tract and improve absorption rates. The final product is a CBD oil you can ingest and benefit from daily.

CBD is not to be confused with THC. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the main chemical found in cannabis plants. THC is known for its psychoactive properties. THC will get you “high,”---CBD will not. CBD is non-psychoactive and promotes a healthy lifestyle and state of balance in the body. This is what makes CBD oil such a unique and desirable product.  Many people buy CBD oil because they do not like the effects of THC. THC can affect the mind and hinder daily functioning. CBD tinctures erase the necessity of worrying about an unwanted side effect because it is completely non-psychoactive. It allows to carry out your daily tasks as you normally do without physical pain/depression.

We stock all three CBD tinctures for your choosing, only offering the most effective and trustworthy brands. The biggest difference between all three are the ailments being treated. With Full Spectrum having very effective properties for anxiety and depression, Broad Spectrum has been known to be just as effective. Some have an adverse reaction to even the smallest amount of THC making Broad Spectrum hemp oil perfect as the oil is almost a full spectrum but just zero THC. Broad Spectrum can be just as effective in treating anxiety, stress, and pain.

Anxiety and Depression

Anxiety and depression are common mental health disorders that can have devastating impacts on health and well-being. According to the World Health Organization, depression is the single largest contributor to disability worldwide, while anxiety disorders are ranked sixth.

Anxiety and depression are usually treated with pharmaceutical drugs, which can cause a number of side effects including drowsiness, agitation, insomnia, sexual dysfunction, and headache. What’s more, medications like benzodiazepines can be addictive and may lead to substance abuse.

CBD oil has shown promise as a treatment for both depression and anxiety, leading many who live with these disorders to become interested in this natural approach.

CBD comes in a variety of products that make it easy to incorporate into your lifestyle and schedule. Some of the most popular products are CBD GummiesCBD gel caps, and CBD Tincture. Tinctures are liquid supplements that contain a nutritional ingredient for wellness, in this case, cannabidiol (CBD). Flavors can be added such as CBD Oil with Peppermint or Goji or Blueberry flavors, or the oil can be left unflavored.

What's the right dose for me?

Depending on your metabolism and severity of your condition, the amount of CBD you will need can be higher or lower. However, we always recommend that you start off with a smaller dosage and work your way up to the desired effect, particularly if you are only beginning to add CBD to your daily regimen.

CBD is a chemical that is well tolerated by most people. It can have very few side effects, but generally, people do not experience any of these if they are taking the proper dosage.

How do I use a CBD Tincture?

Our CBD Oil drops are equipped with mL droppers, which allow you to measure the amount you are taking. Many users mix the tincture liquid with a food or beverage, like hot tea or coffee, soup, or salad dressing, to make it even more convenient to use. Others place a drop of their tincture under their tongue to allow it to be absorbed by the body most effectively; the membranes under your tongue are thinner and allow for faster absorption by the body, which helps achieve balance in about 15 minutes.
